Pickled Green Plums (800 ml jar)
Ingredients:
• 800 ml sterilized glass jar
• Fresh green plums (enough to fill the jar)
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 5 whole black peppercorns
• 3 garlic cloves
• 1 teaspoon dried mint
• 2 bay leaves
• Boiling water (to fill the jar)
Instructions:
1. Sterilize the jar and lid by boiling or steaming them. Let dry.
2. Wash the green plums thoroughly and pack them tightly into the jar.
3. Add the salt, black peppercorns, peeled garlic cloves (whole or sliced), dried mint, and bay leaves.
4. Carefully pour boiling water over the plums, filling the jar to the top.
5. Seal the jar tightly with the lid and turn it upside down.
6. Let it cool completely in this position.
7. Once cooled, store the jar in a cool, dry place. The pickles will be ready in about 2–3 weeks.
