A walk around Krakow on Sunday turns into a real fairytale journey! In this video, you will see how one of the most beautiful cities in Poland comes to life: cozy streets, weekend atmosphere, street musicians and happy people. A special event is the annual Dragon Parade! Huge colorful figures, accompanied by music, dancing and joyful cries, march along the streets of the old town, attracting tourists and locals. The Great Dragon Parade, organized since 2000 by the Groteska Theatre, is one of the most recognizable cultural events in Krakow. The event has become a permanent part of the cultural map of Krakow. It attracts not only city residents, but also thousands of dragon lovers from all over Poland, Europe and the world. The Great Dragon Parade is a unique event in Europe. No other city organizes an event in a format similar to Krakow's. The Great Dragon Parade is a two-day event consisting of: A large open-air night show. During this night show with the use of light and sound technology on the water giant dragons are presented, hovering in the air, animated on floating barges. The dragon animation took place on a closed waterway in the bend of the Vistula at the foot of Wawel. The show of helium dragons was accompanied by music, lights, glitter of fireworks and lasers. The combination of all these elements makes the Krakow spectacle something exceptional, unique and extremely spectacular against the background of European street productions of today. It can be said that among the cyclical events of this type in Europe there are few shows that would be equal in scale and impact. The large street spectacle has a pro-ecological formula. The show uses the most modern pyrotechnics of silence - much quieter, but just as visually attractive as the traditional one. During the show, weak and medium pyrotechnics are used, which do not have a significant impact on the show space and are completely biodegradable. There is also the Great Dragon Parade. The traditional Great Dragon Parade starts from the Plant at the exit of Grodzka Street towards the Main Market Square. Every year, about 30 dragons, animated by about a thousand children and their guardians, parade in a colorful procession to introduce themselves to the residents and tourists visiting the event and compete for the title of the most beautiful dragon of the parade.
