This year, Lunar New Year (called Tết in Vietnam) celebrations began on February 12. For us Vietnamese (and some East Asian countries) it is the most important festival. It is time for families to be together and a week of an official public holiday.

We were supposed to visit our parents in Vietnam and celebrate Tet together but Covid ruined the plan. So it's quite an emotional time for me, especially with Germany being in the extended lockdown for the past two months.
But it's okay to be sad. Tomorrow my heart will be lighter :)

Năm nay, Tết Nguyên đán bắt đầu vào ngày 12 tháng 2. Đối với người Việt chúng ta, đây là ngày lễ quan trọng nhất của năm. Là lúc gia đình sum vầy.

Đáng lẽ chúng mình sẽ về thăm bố mẹ hai bên ở Việt Nam và đón Tết cùng nhau nhưng Covid đã phá hỏng mọi thứ. Vì vậy lúc này là một thời gian dễ xúc động của mình, đặc biệt là khi Đức vẫn giãn cách xã hội hơn hai tháng qua.
Buồn một chút thôi rồi ngày mai lại vui nhé :)
